scanpci not showing anything


when i am out of X and i type XFree86 -scanpci it returns nothing... i have plenty of hardware it should return, but nothing is shown :S

anyone know why?

Do you have any X sessions running? Try 'ps -e | grep X' and if you find one, kill it. Then try the -scanpci
