SBLive! and Linux

Welcome everyone!

I have RedHat7.2 distribution and i cannot start midi playing with the original installation.
After some travel into Internet i found that kernel 2.4.17 has MIDI support for SBLive! integrated.

So i compiled the new kernel but now i have only in the /dev directory two dsp files: dsp1 and dsp56k.
Then when i try to playing music (not only midi) i get a device not found error, so i have maked a symbolic link to dsp1, with name dsp; the result is that i can only hear music from the rear speaker (i have quadriphonic).

Midi playing is impossible: with RH7.2 original i receive a /dev/sequencer not found error, now with 2.4.17, i receive a no midi loopback found error, but in the kernel i have selected the OSS midi loopback.

Please anyone helps me!
