Saving To X86Config
Im trying to edit the X86Config file. I type :w! and it says it can not open file for writing. If i type :w it says its read only add ! to override. Why cant i save this file??

You're not doing it as root, and don't have permissions
on the file? :)

aww crap i think i forgot to su before editing. Ive been editing this file for like an hour now. Is there anyway i can su while the file is open so i can save it??

alright i got it. I just changed the permissions. anyone know the default chmod value for this file? Is it 644? I would like to change it back..

644 seems fair enough. The alternative would have been
to save it to some location in your home, and then copy
it over as root :)
