save termial buffer
is there any way that I can save, whatever is printed in the terminal to a given file?

I need to get some data printed by the kernel (printk) to some file

You can use > to redirect the output to a file:

ps aux | grep "kde" > myfile.txt

redirecting using > will not work.

">" command wont redirect messages comming from printk.
