I want to password protect my shares so that if I get a virus on the network it won't be able to get in, or at least minimize the chance, but I don't want to use the user-based sharing, but share based (much easier to setup). Is there a way to simply set a password per share, or leave it open? I want to have some shares password protected, but some shares wide open (various shares for various uses) so going user security is no choice, only share type will do. I'm just not sure how this is done. Thanks!
