Samba Share Question


I currenlty have samba installed and running. I am able to access a samba share ok. I would like to have a share that one user has read/write access to and everyone else have read access. How do I set this up????

You can set a user or a group for read and or write access. See documentation pages for smb.conf at www.samba.org for complete details.

The share option is:
write list = <user> and/or @<group name>
read list =
