Samba Share Question...
Question folks, My brain is rattled on this one......
At a clients site, we have this issue, there is a fax server that has two directories shared, Samba can mount the directory and when i'm the root user, go over to /mnt/blah and do whatever it is i want to do. But, they are running a program that runs as the users system, so I went ahead and gave that username the correct permission on the 2000 Fax machine, when i try to get to that share as the system username, i get a permission denied, so to me, it looks like the system user can't do anything under /mnt/blah as it is owned by root, any way to alieviate this problem? Thanks for any insight! |
What are the permissions on that directory?
ls -la /mnt/blah What filesystem is on it? mount |
