but it does not do the same for subsequent accesses why ?

ok.

try
null passwords = yes (default is no)

*******WARNING*********************
this could be a major security problem

I think that this must be set globally.

you need to test what this does to your
security model.

*blink*

Uh, this is the way that windows *works*.

It caches your usernames / passwords so you dont *have* to redo them every time you log in.

If you're on a windows 95/98/ME machine, and you fancy a looksee, rename :

c:\windows\yourname.pwl

to something else. That's your username/password file and contains hashes of your usernames/passwords for connected drives to. Remove it, log out, restart, create new username & passwords, connect to drive.. it'll ask you for username/password again.

That is, unless your username / password is the same on both ends, and then I think it might just pass you right through.

This is expected behaviour.

Slick.
