Samba share - network name no longer available when browsing samba from win2k

I have a Sun U60 loaded with Aurora (Red Hat 7.3 based) linux for sparc64 platforms. The version of Samba is 2.2.7-security-rollup-fix according ot SWAT. Everything seems to be working OK, but I am having some problems getting a proper connection to my Linux Samba server from my Windows machines (98SE and 2000 sp3 and sp4). I have used SWAT to create my smb.conf file as well as manually editing, and done the smbadduser procedures. From my Windows machines I am able to browse through the Network Neighbourhood to the "HOME" directory that is my target, but when I double click on that directory to open it I get the following error:

\\Aurora1\mcs1490 is not accessible
The specified network name is no longer available

This is the HOME directory of a user that has the same username/password in Linux and Sabma as on the Windows machine. I have followed the DIAGNOSIS.txt steps to test my set up and connections and they all seem to pass. I can map the drive in Windows, but I cannot get into the shared directory to transfer files. I can send my smb.conf file and log files if anyone would like to look them over, but thought I would keep things short for my first post. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
