Samba Secondary DC

Hi there,

We use Samba as a PDC, windows workstations at the central office.

We're expanding to another state and will have firewall to firewall vpn connecting both locations as if they were one lan.

Can we have a second DC at the remote locations which forwards authentication to the Primary PDC but will authenticate to the secondary in the event of site to site failure.

What options are necessary in the smb.conf to achieve this? is it a simple process? or are we better off going with 2 separate domains?

We're using /etc/samba/smbpasswd as the password file.

Suggestions?
