I have a working Samba PDC at the house and I have googled this problem and come up with no solutions. Here is the situation. I have 7 users and a pretty vanilla setup. One of my users is a digital photographer and saves all of her .RAW files to My Documents. All of the users are on laptops and need their data when they are away from the local domain. I need to find out how to have roaming profiles enabled as some of the machines are shared but to not sync My Documents. The users already know to save anything they want to access from multiple machines to H: (A mapped network drive). I know with a Windows PDC this can be setup but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to stop My Documents from syncing on Samba.

I have found solutions for mapping My Documents to a network drive but this won't work as some of the users need local data for work away from the domain.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

remap the my Documents folder on the PC to their user directory via group policy it 'should' configure synch automatically.. .
