Samba PDC - Roaming profiles and netlogon problems
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
I've configured a samba PDC (see smb.conf attached file) on a openSuSE 13.1 - samba 4.1.3 I have problems with this configuration 1) none of my windows (win7 Pro, winXP, win2000) achieve opening a windows session with a roaming profile ; after a successfull login with ctrl/alt/del windows displays the desktop and says that it has loaded the local profile 2) I have a .bat script (in dos format) for each pc and it is not executed at login. The network drives are not mounted. I've inserted a pause instruction in the bat script to display the instructions, but it's not displayed. 3) the logon drive is not mounted Note : public server shares are shown and accessible Note : I don't think that opensuse or samba version are the problem ; I've done a test with the same smb.conf in the same conditions on an other server under opensuse 10.1/samba 3 and the result is the same I've tried to search an explanation in /var/log/samba/log.smb and in log.ip_of_PC but I just can't find an error that would be a hint. When I issue smbstatus on the server I see that the test pc is connected. (Test pc is under Win7 PRO) So I just don't understand why I can't get a roaming session and the execution of netlogon. I've been searching for a long time (2 months now) on the internet and some of the discussions on solved questions didn't contain the answer ... Could someone give me a hint ? Thanks |
