Samba PDC Domain Join Error - "The Specified computer account could not be found..."

Good evening, I get the following error when prompted for my user name and password when finally joining the domain.

"The specified computer account could not be found. Contact an administrator to verify the account is in the domain. If the account has been deleted, unjoin, reboot and rejoin the domain."

Did you create machine entry on server?

You can create machine entry manually or by script.

look here for more info.

Thank you, I was certain I created the script though... I know this may be asking a lot, but by chance could you lead me to where or tell me how I can post my whole smb.conf file for you like I've seen others do? I doubt you want to download an attachment for security reasons.

Respectfully,

scruggsdl

I am researching on Samba by Example How-Tos and have found a lot of interesting information, I believe my smbusers configuration is royally jacked up. However I have done groupmappings and other changes already and I'm worried it might be hard to backtrack all of these. Will uninstalling the samba packages and reinstalling while backing up the smb.conf help with starting on a fresh slate or should I just sit tight?

Respectfully,

scruggsdl

I forgot to mention a few specific details, I'm trying to connect a Windows 7 box that I have already made the necessary registry changes too. I'm having a hard time joining the domain when it asks for a user name and password credential of someone who has domain administrative privileges on the Linux server. I've been aimlessly messing around with the smbusers and trying to figure out how exactly machine and user names are to be configured on the server.
