Samba on oracle linux - cant access from windows.

Strangely I can see the shares but can't access (error is windows cannot access - you do not have permission to access).

Other users cant even see the shares (by going to \\servername) (Error is \\server is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource etc.

As you can see from my smb.conf its relying on guest user to provide access rather than samba users. Wondering if its windows thats causing this or linux?

Heres my smb.conf:-

workgroup = GCC
netbios name = SVRSHIR401
server string = SVRSHIR401
# hosts allow = 192.168.1. 127.
log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log
max log size = 50
guest account = nobody
security = user
map to guest = Bad User
# encrypt passwords = yes
smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd
socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192
# remote announce = 192.168.1.
local master = no
# os level = 33
# domain master = no
# preferred master = yes
username map = /etc/samba/smbusers
#============================ Share Definitions ==============================
comment = gapsreports Folder
path = /u04/gapsreports
public = yes
writable = yes
available = yes
browsable = yes
guest ok = yes
#AJS all files and folders created should be public access on unix
directory mask = 777
create mask = 666
path = prw
guest ok = yes
