Samba issues

I am starting to loose faith in Samba and am currently having this problem that I havnt been able to fix from the beggining. I have setup up SAMBA client using YaST and SUSE 10 for shared windows printing. After I set it up through those tools I always use smbtree -U -k account to see the windows shares that linux sees. After a couple of hours of successful usage it stops working(samba or windows) and when that happens I rerun smbtree -U -k w2k account and I get this error:

as root

smbtree -U -k administrator
Password:
HOME
\\SERVER
\\OFFSPRING
failed session setup with NT_STATUS_OK
\\OFFSPRING2

and sometimes I get this error message and then I have to restart my windows server to get it to work:

[root@localhost dabeast]# smbtree -U -k administrator
Password:
failed negprot
failed negprot

and I can rarely print. It used to show the print shares as well.
