samba instal problem
well i'm back with another newb question.
i d/l'd "samba-2.2.3a-20020206.i386.rpm" as root rpm -ivh samba-******** etc. then i check the install using " rpm -q samba***** etc.." i get a "not installed" ? some of the files are there, but from what i read and seen t a site for samba info, there should be more files? i'm at work so i don't have the link to the site where i got he info, inconclusion to my newb question, what did i miss are there other files i need to install? gonna change my sig to : "if it works, screw with it, till it don't. then fix it." :Pengy: |
Do "find / -name samba |less" to see where your Samba files ended up.
