Im not a moderator but Please don't be rude - frandalla was not insulting you - I see nowhere where you stated you read all the documentation or how proficient you are in Linux. There are newbies on here every day. People help if they can - if they can't then don't take it as an insult.

Mossy, maybe you are right, I could have been a bit too rude (or in my native language to tell someone that is not as rude as others could take
it). If so I apologize.
But when one sees a post full of tries with some successes, one can
see that there is some digging in HOWTOs. Then one does not
finish with a "Just try to look at the documentation first Ok?"
as if I had not done anything but ask.

I am not guru, but before bothering anyone I try to read. Of course
one cannot read everything. That is why after several DAYS of
unsuccessful tries one asks.

If I ask something without reading first, I am the first to admit it
(just look at my previous post, it was truly a trivial thing. If someone
would have tell me that I am stupid I would have said... sure)

But not in this case. Moreover, what I want is to solve the problem.
Next thing I will do is try cups. But before I would like to see if cups
and lprng can coexist. My feeling is not. But I am not sure, so first
I will dig a bit in the howtos.

yeah I getcha. Your a tech but there's just SO many non tech people on here sometimes. I am the same way I read all the dox fist. Just wish everyone did. I have not delved into the printer aspect of linux yet - but I need to setup a print server soon - so I am monitoring this thread for clues - sorry I can't help too much.
