samba + cups + network printing -> problem...

Hi all!

Today after about 10h of work i managed to print through my home network on my sis' printer, running on win XP. Yeah, at last! I've never been so satisfied about printing a test page
however, cups test page was printed in the upper-left corner of the page.

I didn't worry about it til i wanted to print a openoffice doc which was printed in the same format :/ The printing format is set to A4. The distance from left and top parts of the printout is 0.3 cm. The frame width is 12.1cm and it's length is 17.1cm. On cups test page under imageable area section i have :
Page Size : 8.0x11.2in
so it should be fine?

I downloaded the alignmargins program from linuxprinting.org and I'd been playing with it for about 2h but it didn't solve my problem or I misunderstood the instructions what to calculate since english is not my mother tongue. All i made with it was enlaring the frame's bottom border by 0,2cm...

Then I thought that maybe this in my ppd file is wrong :
Page Size A4/A4 : "<</PageSize[595 842] ...etc
and the page size is in inches so i changed it to 800 1120 (A4 measurements in inches) but again no results...

Any tips on what limits the size of the printouts ?
The printer is Canon BJC 4000, maybe someone has it working correctly or could give me the measurements ?

Thanks in advance for any tips!
