Exclamation SAMBA configuration error

I have a hassle with a SAMBA configuration that I am playing with - the
SMBPASSWD application doesn't work - it bombs with the following
message:

# smbpasswd
dynamic linker: smbpasswd: invalid relocation type 3 at 0x48537c
Killed

Can you please tell me what you think that error means and also do you perhaps have an SMBPASSWD for me to that I could copy on to this system. Or can you suggest a method that I can follow to resolve the problem. I would be grateful! Thank you.

first you have to check that you are in a root auth.
Else, you have to reinstall the sendmail rpm, you ll find it here:

http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/se...hp?query=samba

good luck!!!
