Samba- client only version?

My Mandrake9.1 machine seems to only have the client half of the samba server. Is this common practice? Why wouldn't they have the full version on the distro??

There's a server part and a tools/client part. In the install there is an option to install a the server part...but if you chose the "workstation" option, it isn't there (IIRC).

Everything you need is on the CDs. You can always just use URPMI and get it if you need it.
