Samba and browsing files with vsftpd
 

ok, i made server with samba running. uploaded through samba lots of files and now i want to download these files via vsftpd. but, many files has äöüõ in it and vsftp shows j?? instead of jää. i heard, that i have to change character set. i set it to character set = ISO8859-1
and made /etc/init.d/smb restart. but the problem exists and does that parameter work for older files also? or only for the new files
