samba and a new network card
hi there,
i have reciently upgread my network from 100mb to 1gb, this has gon protty well on the most part appart from my samba pdc.
samba still works, i can browse to the samba server enter my user name and password and i can view the shares, Windows PC's that are already domain members can log in, BUT if i try to add a new windows PC to the domain than i get an access denied message.
my samba config has been running for well over a year without any problems and without any changes untill i replaced my network card.
there is no firewall running so that isnt the problem. my old network card was an onboard one so i could not remove it however i desabled it and my new network card still operates under eth0.
if it helps my server is running sles9, i would upgread but sles10 doesnt support my raidcard drivers and i cannot get them as source to compile them myself
any help or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.
