Sorry for my "stupidity" up front!

I have a job that has SGI Irix workstations, a Linux 6.1 server used for storage backups, and some Windows 98/2000 machines. What I'm looking for is a way to share files between the 3 operating systems and the LaserJet thats connected to the Windows machine.

After looking around it seems Samba is the best choice, but I'm not sure if I can be able to save files back to the Unix/Linux environment. Will this be possible and do I need to install Samba on Windows too?

Thanks In Advance

PS After rereading that it didn't make too much since. What I'm trying to find is how do I see the Linux and Irix shares from the Network Neighborhood on Windows?

No, you do not need to install SAMBA on a Windows machine. SAMBA is to allow Linux to share files with Winodws. Here is a link where I posted my smb.conf file. I did nothing with printing, so you'll have to play with that.
