samba 308 +FC2


Hey,

I'm having trouble installing samba,

i did it once on redhat 9,
but i can't seem 2 remember how

anyway, what i do is

i got to /home/avd/samba3.0.8/source

n i type ./configure
then make
then make install

now what?

or how do i access samba on fedora?

umm if u got no errors its prolly installed, not sure what the default prefix is on a source install but off of an rpm you would start samba with

#/etc/init.d/smb start

and the configuration file for it would be in /etc/samba/smb.conf

try a locate if they arent in these locations.
