Running progs via ssh that stay working after logging out

I've been helping someone with a script to start/stop a ut2004 game server. Problem is as soon as he logs out of putty the server stops.

I'm sure there is a way of keeping progs/services running but I googled and searched and didn't find a thing.

GNU screen will do this. you start screen then start your script inside it. then you ctl-a, d to disconect the session and you can log out. you can log back in later and run screen -r and you can get right back to the session.
