Running LILO on a secondary drive

I have drive where I put in a new kernel and then got LILO to boot up from it automatically without the prompt. It's giving me a kernel panic now, so I wish to revert back to a prompt. However since it's not even booting up, I can't run LILO on it. Is there any way I can connect the drive to another Linux box, and then run LILO remotely on it? How would I go about doing that?

Boot from a LiveCD and then chroot in:

IMHO, that's why grub is superior: if it fails to boot you can get a grub prompt and boot anything from the grub command line.
