I'm running Mandrake 10.0 and KDE in english, this means all programms start in english language by default and that's fine for me. Unfortunately I must run gnucash in my native language, since I am located in Germany I need to provide all my reports (balance and profit and loss statement) to the government in german. My question is: How do I change gnucash's preferences to do this? Is it possible to run Gnucash in german on english version of KDE? I've asked already in some German forums, nobody could help me out. I can't change (add) the language preferences at gnucash preferences, and my google quest ended using commands like:

gnucash lang=de *OR* env LANGUAGE=de_DE gnucash

Nothing works, the programm starts always in English and this might be difficult for me and especially German bureaucrats.

I also checked mandrake cds for german or other language packs for gnucash but there aren't any.
Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Hello. I am a GnuCash Chinese Traditional 繁體中文 user. I have many problems displaying Chinese Traditional 繁體中文 in GnuCash software in Mandrake Linux 9.2 and 10.0. I want to know how to display Chinese Traditional 繁體中文 properly. Otherwise I would like my GnuCash in English. How do I configure it? exporting LC_ALL or LANG environment variables in the shell doesn't make GnuCash to change the language. I have to log into Gnome 2.4 as English to make GnuCash in English. In that way, there is no input method in Chinese Traditional 繁體中文. How do I solve the problem?
