Running eMule installed in Windows partition through Wine on Ubuntu

Hi there lads,

i've got Win XP and Ubuntu on dual-boot. Though I can use Amule in Ubuntu, i've got downloads currently running on my WinXP eMule... So, i'd like to know how could I run Win eMule under Ubuntu, cos' when i try Wine the program opens, but it can't read the eMule temp file under "C:\Prog Files/eMule/temp", so i can download new things but cannot continue previous downloads...

Thnx in advance ! :)

To run a Windows app under WINE, I'm pretty sure you need to install it with WINE.

SOLVED !!!

Actually you don't have to install under wine so that it works, u can run apps already installed on other partitions...

My problem was that eMule would run under wine but would NOT continue previous downloads... I found out that this was due to linux being unable to write on the mounted ntfs partition... So I downloaded ntfs-3g and mounted my WinXP partition with it... Now i can run "wine /media/sda1/Program Files/eMule/emule.exe", and the current downloads are read correctly and they continue normally :D
