Running apps within enlightenment brings up KDE/Gnome

I have KDE and Gnome installed, and I'm test-driving Enlightenment (RC16, FC3). Still not sure if I like it but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to stop this from happening.

Whenever I bring up some applications - apparently those specific to KDE/Gnome (Kedit, Gnome's file manager, etc) from within E, it brings up the full KDE or Gnome window manager along with the app. Is it possible to stop this from happening? It's annoying as it overwrites the theme and background I happen to be using for Enlightenment at the time, and the only way I've found to correct it is to log out and back in - which takes down whatever I'm workign on at the time.

Do I have to find file managers/editors/etc that are agnostic - not associated with KDE/Gnome, or is there some other way to prevent this?

Thanks
