Running apps as alternate users

Hi everyone!

I want to run a hotline server on my RH9 box in background mode which is /hxd/bin/hxd& but i want to run this app on boot as user 'hotline' how do i do this?

First make sure you have an app called "sudo". If not, get it and set it up. Then make a script in a convenient place (like /usr/local/bin) and put in it:

sudo su hotline
Then save it and make sure it's executable. Then just run the script.
