Running a non-X session on Fedora Core 4

Hey,
I'm trying to run a Looking Glass session on FC4 and I can't seem to start just a plain console session. The failsaife still runs in X and doing an /sbin/init 4 locks up the keyboard and doesn't bring up a command prompt. Does anyone know how to get to a console session in Fedora Core 4?

Thanks in advance!

init 4 isn't an appropriate runlevel afaik, it's reserverd but mostly not used.

try init 3... it's a runlevel similar to init 5 (default) but without any X started.
