run cgi script as a user other than apache

hi there,

i'm just wondering how I can set a cgi script to run as a user other than the apache user?

I'm trying to install backuppc and i'm getting this error message

'Error: Wrong user: my userid is 48, instead of 502(backuppc)'

can anyone help?
