RT Tracker and AD Integration

I'm implementing an RT Tracker system here at my company. I've read through quite a few of the sites out there trying to get an idea of how things work.

I have a CentOS 5 system with RT Tracker 3 loaded. The site seems to work fine, but now I need it to integrate with Active Directory. I'm not sure what the best way to do that is. Most of the web sites I've found on integrating with AD are rather old. I tried installing mod_ntlm2, but it never finishes compiling. I have a working winbind on the system RT is loaded on. If there is another version of linux that it's easier to get it up and running on with integration and all (ubuntu, suse, gentoo, etc) then I'm fine with switching. Most of our other linux server are either RHEL or CentOS, but I can live with one server that's different if necessary.

if anyone has any references or any info they want to share I would greatly appreciate it. I need to get this system online as soon as possible, and the AD integration is the only thing holding me up right now.

Thanks much.
