rsync logging

I'm using rsync in a script for a hourly cron job. How can I have it to log the transfers? I do have a /etc/rsyncd.conf, but it seems like that only applies if it's being used a daemon.

Oh the log should go into /var/log

I would say that a quick-and-dirty way to do it is use cat `command`... or I think that works, lol.
