rsync is corrupting .pst while backup..


i have written a script to take a backup our company which has around 200 computer windows based......i have used rsync to take daily backup at 12pm....but i faced a problem while restoring the outlook's data file(outlook.pst) that it is corrupted!!!!.....below is the code

I Use another file to parse the value of the variables......but this is the main brain of the backup....

I don't think it is a rsync problem, but an outlook problem

the outlook.pst file is saved by outlook when outlook quits.
If outlook is open, and you're copying its pst file, it won't be fully synchronized, and thus unreadable.

Are you sure all of the 200 pc are logged off (not just locked with open programs)

well i repair .pst by scanpst.exe which make them usuable again fully....but just wanted to see if it could be done directly.....i can't tell 200 users to log off......well just wanted to kill the middle step..anyhow thnxs
