RPMs Simplified Chinese

Have downloaded two RPMs that might help me to print Simplified chinese text files in Mandrake Version 9
Chinese (BIG5) language support for KDE
These RPMs are saved in Myplace but on trying to installing them nothing seems to install.
Have tried Terminal commands to activate these RPMs but still I can not install them and print text files.
Does this indicate that my system is missing a vital file?.
Any help with this problem.
Maurice

what program are you using to view/print them?
and do the fonts show up on the screen ok?
try using mozilla and view it and go to "view" -> character coding...
