rpm woes

It isn't a huge deal but for some after I restarted my computer this morning konqueror can't seem to open rpm files. What could have happend between last night and now that would have caused this? I haven't installed anything between then and now.

I am using SuSe 9.1

.rpm are software packages. You will have to be root to run them I think. I've never run SuSE, but .rpm can be installed with
rpm -ivh NameOfPackage.rpm
Look at the man page for rpm. At shell or Konsole or whatever term you use type
man rpm

Also does SuSE have a package manger application? Use that I would say. Either way you will have to be root to install .rpm.
