Angry rpm stuff - specifically SDL

Allright: how do I tell where a rpm has installed itself so I can add it to the path so that the dependancies issues disapear?

thanks.

rpm -ql file.rpm
or
rpm -qf package

i believe. but if these are deps within RPM's then they should be resolved within RPM level too, so actual file paths should come into it.

get an src rpm of the corresponding rpm and install it.
It will put all its file is in one of the /usr/src/linux-2.4/redhat/SPECS

The corresponding spec file will show the path where exactly they are installed.

Generally rpms are installed in /usr or /usr/local

thanks acid. Fusionline, thanks. Yes it is in usr/local I think.
/usr/lib/libSDL-1.2.so.0

Ok, so I needed that to install other things. However the other things can't find it.

thanks
