rpm puzzle

Ok this is a strange one to me anyway.I have been having problems installing ATI driver problems on the install but this is not the focus of this query.I tried to uninstall a previous rpm install to start over from scratchI use the e --nodeps to uninstall and i get package is not installed ,so I think maybe this is my problem(drivers) so I try to install the rpm and I get package is already installed WTH.Anybody know what's going on here?I checked that I had the package nams right both times. It is fglrx-glc22-4.3.0-3.2.5.i586.rpm.On a sidenote I get xlib:extension"xfree86-DRI"missing on display":0-0" when I start glxgears which is what started this.EDIT"Mandrake 9.1 duh

I know I might be undermining ur intelligence here, but are u including the last few digits i.e. 3.2.5.i586 when u are trying to uninstall the rpm? If u are then I dont think u shld. Also are u using the --erase option? Forgive me if I insulted ur intelligence. No offence meant .
Cheers

Good thing you using Mandrake

1) go to Mandrake Control Center
2) Software
3) Uninstall RPM's
4) type in 'fglrx"
5) click search
6) hopefully it should show the filename
7) click on it and uninstall

if it doesn't show up, just --force the installation of your ATI drivers. I hope you know how to install ATI drivers. I have posted numerously on the ATI drivers problem but finally I know how to install it. Let me know if you need help.
