Rpm packages

Hey,

I just installed Kopete via rpm and realized it's the wrong version, not the latest. Now I want to remove it and install the updated version. Easy right? Not for me...

I am using rpm -e package.rpm and I am told it's not installed. I then looked at my system logs and the package name is there so I tried agian and samething happened. So what am I doing wrong? What's the best route here, to remove the version and install the new (if I can) or to upgrade (no clue how to do that). Sorry for the newb question but....

Cheers,

rpm -e kopete should be enough.

It won't work if you add the .rpm, you can also do rpm -e full-name-of-package, but without ending with .rpm.
