RPM Installation - Preparing, then exit

I've been trying to run RPM installations for GAIM and SuperKaramba, and both of the RPM installation packages close right after the preparation stage. The AIM RPM was able to install correctly, but these two packages just disappear after preparing. Any ideas?

look like a rpm issue.

cd /var/lib/rpm
rm _* files related to rpm

rpm --rebuildb

should work

disclaimer: never tried it
