rpm install problem

every once in a while when i download something in an .rpm package and try to install it with kpackage i get an error saying i need NOKEY, id xxxxxxx. usually i can download the source and compile it but id still rather install from an rpm.

You can compile the source into a rpm and then install the rpm by using checkinstall:

Once you get checkinstall installed then the procedure for installing is:

Then install the resulting rpm.

Be prepared. Create a LifeBoat CD.
