rpm install in Mandrake 9.2

I Have attempted to install an RPM file in Mandrake 9.2, but was unsuccessful. The error message was an unsatisfied /bin/ash, upon looking in the folder the file was nonexistant. My first question is what is this file or folder? Secondly, what needs to happen so i can install the rpm file that i must install.
-thx

I'm just posting here because I want to get updated when someone helps you out with this, because I've had the same problem.

I know this is a reply to my own question but i have been brainstorming and think the reason may be because the rpm i am using is for an older version of mandrake, any more responses?

Ash is a shell, kind of like bash which you probably are using. It determines how the command prompt should act.

You can get it from:
