rpm

hi,

i did an "rpm -vi mjpegtools-1.6.1-fr5.i386.rpm" and got:
error: failed dependencies:
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3) is needed by mjpegtools-1.6.1-fr5
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3.2) is needed by mjpegtools-1.6.1-fr5
libgcc_s.so.1 is needed by mjpegtools-1.6.1-fr5
libgcc_s.so.1(GCC_3.0) is needed by mjpegtools-1.6.1-fr5
libgcc_s.so.1(GLIBC_2.0) is needed by mjpegtools-1.6.1-fr5
<blah,blah,blah>

first of all i, i guess i should do an rpm on glibc.
which version is best? the error messages says both 2.3 and 2.3.2. should i always pick the latest??

i then did a "rpm -vi glibc-2.3.2-57.i386.rpm" but got:
error: failed dependencies:
glibc-common = 2.3.2-57 is needed by glibc-2.3.2-57
glibc > 2.2.4 conflicts with glibs-common-2.2.4-13

what does this mean?

thanks!

- jon

download the packages which are stated as dependancies, and whichever package required them dependancies will then install.
