route add question?

Quick question guys.

I want to allow access from all hosts from 192.168.50.0-192.168.50.255.

What would the command be?

Would it be the following:

route add -net 192.168.50.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw x.x.x.x

thanks guys

Can you tell us a little more about the number of network cards and there address's? Also are you using a firewall (i.e. iptables)?

thanks for the response

this is actually for my sendmail server. I want to allow incoming traffic from the above range.

The sendmail box is just a pc, 1 network card. I'm running a firewall but everything is okay on it, traffic is going threw the firewall. I'm just having a minor problem on the server.

p.s this is just a test environment. The adapter i.p is 192.168.40.1 if you need it. I have a couple of networks set up.

So do you have a router that separates the 192.168.40.0 network for the 192.168.50.0 network?
