rotate text

I don't particularly want to download all of Open Office to get this one feature.

Anybody know of a wordprocessing program that will allow me to have some text vertical or slanted on the page as well as horizontal? I normally use Kword, and have tried Textmaker..

LaTeX will do this through the rotate package, installed by default. (And it gives better results than most WYSIWIG editors, even if it does take longer to learn).

If you want a GUI tool, you might take a look at Scribus.
