rootdisk error
Hi,
I've got an IBM thinkpad 370C (an 80486 with 20 MB ram and no CD-rom, 2 PCMCIA slots and one 10/100Mbps 16-BIt Fast Ethernet PCMCIA Adapter for Notebooks (DFE-650TX)). I want to have linux installed, so I found that Vectorlinux runs ons 386's. I've made a bootdisk and no probs, but there are problems with the rootdisk. I've tried the rootdisk from vectorlinux, but I get always: end_request: I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0 VFS: Cannot open root dvice "fd0" or 02:00 Please append a correct "root-" boot option And my second question is, how do I get all those data on my computer? Is there a driver for the Ethernet card that I can install from floppy? Thx, E. |
