root-tail doesn't work!!

Hi!
I installed root-tail on Slackware 10.2 with KDE 3.4.2! I'm using 2.6.13 kernel. root-tail version is 1.2! when I run root-tail like this:
Code:
root-tail -color green -g 80x50+0+100 -shade /var/log/messages
or just:
Code:
root-tail /var/log/messages
it's like running, but I can't see it! I checked dmesg, but nothing! Any ideas what could be wrong? Thank you!

Using this one on mine produces a small section in green
root-tail -color green -g 80x50+0+100 -shade /var/log/messages

Try this
root-tail -color green -g 800x500+10+100 -shade /var/log/messages

The other produces a decent size in white. Not sure of your background image or color of background

Does there examples from the source work?

Thanks!
Didn't work! I changed the background color to white, but didn't work.. yes, I have also tried that example! I remember when I had an old laptop, I used root-tail on it, I had fluxbox, it worked fine! I try in different wm's, but still doesn't work..

I have no idea why it does not display. I am using CentOS4.4beta+, kernel 2.6.16.16, KDE 3.5.3beta, root-tail 1.2, on a x86-64 machine. Should not be anything specfic required. I would contact Marc from the his website on root-tail for help. You might building and older version.
