rookie at work

ok so Im new at linux and I keep trying to install clamva which is supposed to be easy to install well I think I did it right .I have followed th instructions for installing an rpm but Im getting nowhere fast. Has anyone installed this program, and can give me some clue as to what the problem might be.

After some Googling around I found this for installing ClamAV on Fedora Core 1 with sendmail:

It would help greatly if you included some error messages or at least your distro and system specs.

ok fedora core 2 and there are no errors after the install ( i guess it was an install) i look for the application but I cant find any type of file that it went to, i was wondering if it just unpacked and never installed
was in the same directory and typed
rpm file name dd at which point it ran off about ten lines of code . im kind of lost at this point
