Rocky Linux - Postfix - Spamassassin

I am hoping someone can provide some assistance.

I have tried the usual searches online and have not managed to find the answers.

We have setup a Rocky mailserver running postfix. We are very happy with it.

We are not trying to configure spamassassin on it.

The difference between the old centos server and this one is that the old one used mbox and the new one uses maildir.

We have completed the install of spamassassin and edited the config files.

The spam is being identified and the header is being changed to [was in spam!] but it is being left in the users inboxes.

I have tried to change Action for messages classified as spam to Append to Qmail-style mail directory and used $HOME/Maildir/.Junk/ but the spam is still going to the inbox.

We have a mailfolder setup called spamfolder i have also tried

Append to Qmail-style mail directory and used $HOME/Maildir/.spamfolder/ but the spam is still going to the inbox.

If anyone could provide me with any assistance i would really appreciate it.

In spamassassin, the rule that updates the subject line needs to also specify the folder to which the message is to delivered. Otherwise, it will go to the default folder…the inbox.
